Marc by Marc Jacobs GWP #2

I couldn't resist buying the latest issue of Can Can Magazine just to get the Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.

Electic Pop Bag, lilac tote with abstract heart print.
Measuring 18cm (W) x 7cm (D) x 15.5cm (H), it's pretty small and will only be able to fit some essentials. I guess it will function pretty well as a lunch bag. There's no zipper, coupled with the small size, there's a need to be careful of belongings when using it.

This is the second Marc by Marc Jacobs GWP that I bought. I prefer the first one as it's bigger and more suited by daily use.

One bonus is the Can Can magazine is super thick, 382 pages filled to the brim with fashion spreads and beauty and makeup tips.

Hmm, at the rate I am going, it may make more economical sense to apply for a Kinokuniya member card.

But one year membership cost $21.40. Will I buy more than $214 worth of magazines in one year? I hope not =^_^=

Bargains!

Passed by the Aldo store in Bugis after lunch and made a beeline for it upon seeing the word "Sale".

Saw this last pair of flats and in my size too!

At a affordable price too!

AND, there is a 2 for 1 promotion going on, where on top of the severly discounted price, you get the secend item of lower value free.

Thus I chose a sparkly blue hairband.

The service staff was friendly and helpful too. She apologised on the long wait at the cashier and took the initiative to exchange a new hairband for me.

A little taste of shanghai

Gave Superman a treat today at Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant, Bugis Junction.
The trademark bamboo steamers at the entrance

We ordered the following:

First came the Minced pork noodles (Zha Jiang Mian):

Both Superman and I agreed that the noodles are good, not salty with the right balance of flavours.

Next, came the fresh pork steamed bun( xiao long bao):
Yummy, yummy. The filling is really fresh and tender. Though I was expecting a piece of cabbage to soak up the juices.

The star of our meal, the salted egg yolk prawn:

Hot from the kitchen. There's 12 of them, i counted!

Ok, I need to confess, this is the first time I am eating salted egg prawn.

When I popped one of these into my mouth, the flavours just exploded in my mouth. A little sweet and savoury, they are just fabulous!

I forgot to take pics of the golden fried rice, but it's pretty forgetable so no loss here.

Look around you #2

Isn't this a beautiful rose!

Can you guess what is this?

I had a fun time with Superman showing him this photo on my handphone camera and making him guess what is this rose made of actually.

He was quite suprised when he finally guessed the answer.

Well, this is the bottom part of the stalk of the Xiao bai cai, the part that we usually cut and throw away without a second thought.
