Older and wiser
However, as I hit adulthood, I realised that things are not so simple.
Good grades are not everything.
Trying and working hard for something doesn't necessarily mean that you will attain it.
Efforts put in is not equal to results achieved.
Some things are simply not within your control, there's only so much one can do.
Goodbye to rose tinted glasses...

Durian Indulgence
From...
I present to you...the legendary Durian Mousse Cake from Goodwood Park Hotel!

Named as one of the top 50 most yummy cakes in Singapore, I couldn't resist buying one when Superman alerted to me their promotion at the malls. With credit card promotions of 15% off, it's still a hefty with $44.20 for a 1.3kg cake(Usual price: $52).
But heck, I figured having heard so much about this cake, I should at least try some and share with family members.
The cake is about 6 cm tall, and 18 cm wide.
Filled with pure D24 durian pulp(detected some fibres), sandwiched between vanilla sponge cake, topped with cottony soft sponge cubes and dusted with some icing sugar, the cake a absolute delight! The cake is rich and not overly sweet. What I like also is that there's no cream on this cake to distract from the interplay of light vanilla sponge and pure creamy durian mousse.
This is the most awesome durian cake I have so far!

Marc by Marc Jacobs GWP #2
Electic Pop Bag, lilac tote with abstract heart print.
Measuring 18cm (W) x 7cm (D) x 15.5cm (H), it's pretty small and will only be able to fit some essentials. I guess it will function pretty well as a lunch bag. There's no zipper, coupled with the small size, there's a need to be careful of belongings when using it.
This is the second Marc by Marc Jacobs GWP that I bought. I prefer the first one as it's bigger and more suited by daily use.
One bonus is the Can Can magazine is super thick, 382 pages filled to the brim with fashion spreads and beauty and makeup tips.
Hmm, at the rate I am going, it may make more economical sense to apply for a Kinokuniya member card.
But one year membership cost $21.40. Will I buy more than $214 worth of magazines in one year? I hope not =^_^=
